Plastic is polluting our oceans, killing wildlife, and damaging our health, and there are widespread calls to get rid of it.

Is plastic a bad material? List some reasons to support your opinion.

I think plastic is a bad material,it pollutes our plants.

What are the different clean-up methods of ocean plastic? Which one do you think is the best design, and why?

The Ocean Cleanup

principle:

Set up a “floating screen” on the sea to use the force of wind, waves and ocean currents, and the towed parachute at the other end of the fence to slow down the speed to avoid the difference in floating speed between the fence and the garbage, and use the sensors on the fence to connect to the satellite. The line confirms the location of the garbage, gathers the garbage in the fence, and then sails to salvage the garbage and transport it back to land.

WasteShark

principle:

The device uses an unmanned watercraft and is equipped with an obstacle avoidance system to detect obstacles on the route while it is traveling, and stop or turn when approaching.

Seabin

principle:

Just like a trash can on land, with a shell cylinder and an internal filter, matched with a pumping motor, the water level difference is used to suck in the garbage near the bucket, and the sea water is discharged back into the sea through the water pipe. After the full collection, the filter is taken out and cleared. Rubbish. The design and erection location is set in the harbor, wharf, and near the shore.

Mr. Trash Wheel

principle:

It is composed of crawlers, water wheels and canopies. It relies on the water flow to turn the water wheels and drives the garbage conveyor belt to continuously collect garbage. The solar panels placed on the top will also continue to store electricity and provide electricity when the water flow is insufficient to turn the water wheels.

In Taiwan, why are there more wastes in western coast than in eastern?

The western coast of Taiwan has higher residential density, coastal industries, garbage volume, and dissolved oxygen values than the eastern coast, so the western coast has more garbage than the eastern coast.

What can scientists use the microscope on the plastic wastes, and why?

I think it is because they need to know what kind of plastic there.

There are 17 SDG goals. Which SDG goals are related to this course?

i think is 13,14,15,

Provide three of your constructive suggestions to this course so you can help the following students to have a better learning experience.

I hope to give us more time, such as two weeks, instead of giving us materials, but to find materials by ourselves, so that we can make something different.

I like that we can compete with our handsome things, otherwise it will be lost after finishing it, and there is no comment at all.

I hope that after we have finished work, we can come to the stage to express our creative ideas and creative thoughts.
